In Loving Memory of Billy Lee Burns.
Bill was a family man who was devoted to his wife and children. He had a tender heart and always found ways to help others. Whether it was delivering medicines to people unable to leave their homes or taking food to those in need. Bill was always showing kindness and generosity to others. He had the best sense of humor and a quick wit that made those around him feel at ease.
Later in life you could find Bill at his son's concerts, always bursting with pride. He adored his children and grandchildren. He was an animal lover whose closest companion was Coco Burns. She followed him around everywhere. Coco refuses to leave his bed even now, the place where he died, surrounded by family and friends.
His wife of nearly 50 years, Janice Burns, was his best friend. Unfortunately, due to the extremely high medical bills accrued during Bill's lengthy illness, and the fixed income they have been living off of, Janice is left to wonder what's next for her. Though she is 72 years old and should be able to relax and enjoy her life, she is struggling to find the money to meet even the most basic needs. She has worked her entire life to help provide for her family but was laid off last year and has little hope of finding employment at this stage in her life. As she is left to mourn the death of her lifelong companion, she is forced to seek help from those around her just to get by. Unable to pay for a memorial service for her husband, she opted for cremation.
